1. Scope
This policy applies to personal information we collect through the Services. It does not apply to third-party sportsbooks, linked websites, or other services that we do not own or control, even if you reach them from a link in the App.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information. When you sign in with “Sign in with Apple” or “Sign in with Google,” we receive a unique user identifier, your name (if shared), and an email address (which may be an Apple private relay address if you chose to hide your email).
- App preferences. Your language, preferred odds format, default stake, pinned sports, and leagues.
- User-created content. Custom prediction models (name, factors, weights), tracked bets, and similar data you create inside the App.
- Support communications. When you email contact@betalpha.pro, we receive the contents of your message and any information you choose to include.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device information. Device model, operating system and version, device language, time zone, crash diagnostics, and App version.
- Usage data. Screens visited, features used, timestamps, and anonymized interaction events. We use this to improve the App — not to build an advertising profile of you.
- Approximate network location. We may infer country or region from your IP address to comply with local law. We do not collect precise GPS location from the App.
- Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store the push token issued by Apple or Google so we can deliver them.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Authentication providers. Apple and Google share the limited account data described above when you sign in.
- App stores. Apple App Store and Google Play provide subscription status, purchase receipts, and basic install diagnostics so we can manage your subscription.
- Sports data providers. We ingest publicly available sportsbook odds, team and player statistics, and scores from licensed data vendors. These data feeds are not about you personally.
3. How we use information
- Provide, personalize, and maintain the Services.
- Price markets and generate model predictions that are tailored to your sports and bet-type preferences.
- Authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent abuse.
- Process subscriptions, free trials, renewals, and cancellations through Apple or Google.
- Send service messages (e.g., receipts, security alerts, policy updates) and, if you opted in, product announcements you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- Analyze aggregated usage so we can improve features, debug crashes, and evaluate model performance.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
4. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:
- Contract — to provide the Services you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Services, prevent fraud, and improve our product, provided these interests do not override your rights.
- Consent — for push notifications or optional marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, under contracts that limit how they may use it:
- Cloud infrastructure. Microsoft Azure (application backend hosting) and Supabase (authentication and managed PostgreSQL database) in the United States.
- App stores & subscription. Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, APNS), Google (Google Play, Google Sign-In, FCM), and RevenueCat (subscription receipt management).
- AI & content services. OpenAI, when we use large-language-model features to generate or summarize research content. We do not send personally identifying information to these models where it is not required to deliver the feature.
- App distribution. Expo Application Services, used to ship over-the-air App updates.
- Professional advisors & auditors (e.g., legal, accounting) under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal & safety. Government authorities or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the recipient will be bound by this policy or a materially similar one.
6. International transfers
Miao Technologies LLC is based in Delaware, USA. Our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from your own. Where required, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for cross-border transfers.
7. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to keep it longer to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for credentials and receipts, scoped service-role access, and audit logging on our backend. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection — but we respond quickly if we become aware of an incident that affects your data.
9. Your choices
- Access, update, or delete. Most information can be updated or deleted from within the App. For anything you cannot change yourself, email contact@betalpha.pro.
- Delete your account. Open Account → Support in the App and request deletion, or email us. Your data will be removed within 90 days.
- Push notifications. Manage these in your device settings.
- Subscriptions. Manage, upgrade, or cancel from your Apple ID subscriptions page or Google Play subscriptions page.
10. Your legal rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a supervisory authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): In the past twelve months we have collected the categories described in Section 2 for the purposes described in Section 3. We do not sell or share (as those terms are defined under the CPRA) your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request to know, delete, correct, or limit the use of sensitive personal information by emailing contact@betalpha.pro. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, contact us at contact@betalpha.pro. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Children
The Services are intended for adults only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18 (or the higher minimum gambling-related age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please email contact@betalpha.pro and we will delete it.
12. Analytics and crash reporting
We use first-party analytics to understand which features are being used and where the App crashes. We do not use advertising identifiers or third-party ad networks. We do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals, because no common industry standard for DNT yet exists, but we honor the rights described above for anyone who requests them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you inside the App or by email. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision.
